Old Business
Apricot-colored Apron sample was passed around as a replacement for the blue Village Affair tshirts. Consensus was to order a few and share them each year (wash, fold, have in a box for volunteers in shifts) pending discussion with W of Today. Heidi H will take care of ordering when we settle on the number of aprons we wish to purchase. Cost is approx. $9 per apron.
Joanne S shared her experience volunteering with the W of Today Santa House. Several suggestions for enhancement were discussed. This event is typically held on the first Friday of December in the afternoon (same date as the BPES Holiday Concert).
New Business:
Several possible White Elephant Auction recipients were discussed. This included Santa House for W of Today, BP Backpack Program, Main Street Beautification, and BP Youth Club.
One announcement was shared by Joanne S regarding the Warrior Wagons, a gift shared with families who have a diagnosis of a childhood cancer. Perhaps a future White Elephant auction recipient?
Meeting adjourned 7:54 pm with our best wishes to Nancy V, who was home recovering from surgery and missed.
Postscript: Meeting re-adjourned to tabulate amount raised, and finalize auction gifts. The Auction Total for 2017 was $800. Motion was made by Karen V and seconded by Phyllis D to distribute: 300 to the BP Backpack Fund, 300 to the BP Youth Club, and 200 to the W of Today Santa House. Making it a Happy Holidays for us, and for many in our community!
Respectfully submitted,
Heidi Heimgartner
