Minutes from March 14, 2019
The meeting was held at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie. We discussed the book Educated by Tara Westover.
Our meeting was called to order by President Jean Peterson.
Minutes: The minutes were approved as submitted.
Treasurer’s Report: Jeanette reported that the amount in our checking account is $______. The biggest expense remaining for the year will be the scholarship money that will be decided by the scholarship committee.
Program: Next month we will see a movie for our April meeting.
Old Business:
Officers for next year: The offices of president and secretary are up for reelection. Nancy agreed to stay on as secretary. Jean is looking for a person or persons to replace her as president. Please contact her if you are interested.
Scholarship Committee: Heidi Heimgartner and Joanne Sorenson agreed to join Naomi Hansen and Liza DeBoer on the committee.
State Convention: Jean will see if Naomi would like to attend the state convention in Grand Rapids.
New Business:
Announcements: A program will be held at the library on March 20 – When Home Won’t Let You Stay by James A. Bowey. He will talk about refugees who now call Minnesota home.
