Minutes of October 11, 2018
The October 2018 meeting was called to order at 6:33 p.m. by President Jean Peterson in the Blooming Prairie Branch Library.
Minutes: Copies were distributed. The minutes stand approved as submitted.
Treasurer’s Report: Jeanette reported that there is $3,100 in the checking account. Of that total $2,900 has been deposited for Village Affair rentals.
Committee Reports:
Program: Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, November 8 at 7 p.m in the Fireside Room at First Lutheran Church. Loan Trinh will be speaking on her experience of being a refugee.
Membership: No report
Public Policy: Please vote!
Village Affair: The Village Affair will be held on October 27. Please give any remaining basket items to Naomi Hansen, as well as the money for raffle tickets. Pam reported that we are about even with last year and are good to go. The aprons will be washed and ironed by Beth and Jean. Jean thanked the committee for their work on Village Affair.

Budget: Jeanette presented the proposed budget. The membership approved the budget.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 6:46 p.m. The members then joined the Election Forum in the City Council Chambers. Candidates for Minnesota State Representative District 27A, Peggy Bennett and Terry Gjersvik, participated in a well-attended forum.
