Minutes – April 12, 2018
The meeting was called to order by President Jean Peterson. Fourteen members were in attendance.
Minutes: The minutes were reviewed and stand approved as submitted.
Treasurer’s Report: There is $2,843.11 in the checking account. The report is filed subject to audit.
Committee Reports:
Program: Meet at the high school at 6 p.m. on May 10th for our Mystery Dinner.
Membership: None
Scholarship: the committee of Beth, Jeanette, Liza, and Naomi will be reviewing the 8 applications received. They have $2,000 to work with.
Village Affair: Pam and Mandy will meet on May 3.
Old Business:
Aprons: Heidi is ordering the 20 aprons now.
State Convention: April 27-28 in Austin. Mary Malherek and Marilyn Meshke will be attending. The sum of $300 has been allotted for their expenses.
New Business:
Nominating Committee Report: Jean has agreed to serve another term as president and Jeanette will serve as treasurer. Pam moved to accept the slate of officers as they were submitted for next year. Motion carried.
Village Affair: Marilyn Meshke would like someone else to be the high school contact person for next year’s Village Affair. Mary Malherek agreed to be the contact person. Naomi will serve on the Village Affair Committee.
The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
Loretta Ingvalson presented her program on Writing Poetry. She has been writing poetry since she was a child and has always loved playing with words. She read selections of her own poetry to the delight of all.
