March Minutes

   Meeting March 11, 2015

      The evening began with a very informative program, “What’s in a Can on the Grocery Store Shelf?’, presented by Deb W., Senior Food Scientist at Hormel Foods.

Following this, the meeting was opened at 8:45 by Mary M. The minutes were approved as presented on the blog. The treasurer reported a balance of $3,413.57 in the account.

 

Committee Reports:

Program – Heidi reported that the April program will be “The Changing Face of the Judiciary”, presented by Hon. Renee Worke.

There were no additional reports.

 

Old Business: There was none.

 

New Business:

Nominating Committee – The following were placed in nomination for: VP program – Julie K. and Joanne S., and Secretary – Nancy V. Heidi moved, and Beth seconded that we accept the slate as presented rather than waiting to vote in April. The motion passed.

 

Scholarship Committee Appointments: Jean P. and Phyllis D. were appointed.

 

It was announced that Marilyn M. and Nancy V. volunteered to be delegates at the state convention in Austin on April 10th and 11th. They would go on the 11th. Unfortunately Nancy was now unable to attend. Anyone wanting to go should please call Mary M. We do have money budgeted to pay the cost of $55.

 

There being no other announcements, the meeting was adjourned at 8:47.
