MEETING MINUTES MAY 9, 2013

Meeting May 9, 2013

      Blooming Prairie AAUW members met at the High School parking lot at 5:45 PM to drive to Albert Lea for their annual mystery dinner. This year’s dinner was held at Wedgewood Cove golf course.

      A short meeting was called to order following the meal, and the minutes were approved as printed in the blog.

      The treasurer’s report showed a bank balance of $4,622.76. Yearly dues are $60 for members and $30 for associate members, and are now collectible.

      There was no Convention update, as Nancy did not attend after all.

      In order to be on time for the BPHS Awards Banquet, it was announced that the Scholarship Committee would meet on the coming Saturday to choose winners from among the seven applications that have been submitted.

Member News / Updates:

      Jean P. has the sign-up sheet for meeting hostess for next year. She mentioned that the Program Committee would be happy for any program suggestions.

      In regard to the Village  Affair, it was mentioned that we could have a dedicated phone line during the period of setting up vendors.

      Pam F. will be meeting with Women of Today on May 22.

      There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
